I currently serve as Director of Research at the Centennial Institute near Denver, CO. I earned my Ph.D. and Masters in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, and my B.A. in Political Science from Geneva College.
I am the author of Fool Me Twice: Intelligence Failures and Mass Casualty Terrorism, and the editor of two books in international relations. My policy analyses and opinion pieces have been published in National Review, USA Today, Washington Examiner, Washington Times, Politico, Townhall, the Jerusalem Post, Denver Gazette, and Colorado Politics.
I previously worked for the online information company LexisNexis supporting law enforcement and homeland security, The Institute of World Politics, and the Office of Naval Research. I have taught public policy and political science at Colorado Christian University, Biola University, and Geneva College.
